Biography
MYRTO KAPNISTI

Myrto Kapnisti (b. 2002) is a final-year student at the Athens School of Fine Arts,  with her degree show scheduled for June 2026. She has distinguished herself through a series of First Prizes in drawing and colour painting at the Arts and Eloquence Competition of the Society for the Promotion of Education between 2017 and 2019.

Her practice has since expanded through sculpture and material-based research, including her participation in the Naxian Marble Sculpture Workshop in Naxos in May 2022, an important formative experience that deepened her engagement with  the sculptural traditions of the Aegean. She has also taken part in sculpture workshops in Lesvos and at the Vorres Museum.

Kapnisti’s work has been presented in group exhibitions and interdisciplinary platforms including at MOMUS, Megaron – The Athens Concert Hall and the Public Tobacco Factory in Athens.
